A Train-the-Trainer Workshop

By request, WordsWork now offers a Train-the-Trainer course.

For larger organizations who want their trainers prepared to teach others how to write content for the Web, we offer an intensive two-day workshop, Train-the-Trainer in Writing for the Global Web.

Day one consists of workshop discussions and activities revolving around the analysis of "good" Web content. Topics include:

Web site creation, mission, and purpose
Evaluating sites with an eye toward a global audience
Identifying and characterizing the pieces of a Web site
Techniques to organize content
Matching the content to the metadata

Day two looks specifically at the trainers' needs. Discussion and activity focuses on the following:

Conducting needs and audience assessment
Melding Web culture with organizational and societal culture
Building writing and editing activities into a workshop
Organizing the curriculum
Evaluation tools
